Dr Conrad Henseleit was born and raised in Kelowna. After graduating from Kelowna Christian School, Conrad attended Simon Fraser University to study Biomedical Physiology after which he left the Vancouver rain to go to dental school in the sunshine at the University of Queensland in Brisbane Australia where he obtained his Bachelor of Dental Science (BDSc Hons).
Conrad is a strong advocate for health equity and making dentistry accessible to everyone; this led to Conrad starting his career off working in an inner-city dental clinic providing pro bono dental work to patients with disabilities and low socioeconomic status in Australia. Conrad understands that visiting the dentist can be difficult or scary, so he puts effort into ensuring that his patients are heard, their concerns are fully addressed, and that the treatment they receive is tailored to their needs and his patients are educated on their own oral health. In short, he takes a holistic, patient centred approach in his delivery of dental services.
Conrad’s favourite part of dentistry is creating an excellent patient experience and being apart of his patients journey to achieving their oral health goals. He loves putting people at ease in the dental chair, specifically with his quirky sense of humour and voice impersonations!
When not doing dentistry, Conrad spends his time enjoying the great outdoors either on his mountain bike, road bike, XC skis or hiking boots. At home Conrad loves playing his electric guitar, cooking or planning his next outdoor adventure.
